1. Wheel Data Stays on Your Device

Name Spinner is designed with privacy in mind for everyday spinning. Names, winner history, wheel titles, and app preferences you enter into the spinner are stored locally on your device using your browser's storage — they are not uploaded to our servers as part of normal use. Share links encode your list in the URL; anyone with the link can load that list.

2. Local Storage

The following information may be stored locally on your device:

• Names added to the wheel
• Winner history
• Wheel title and spinner settings
• Application preferences (for example, sound and repeat-spin limits)

This data remains on your device unless you choose to share a link or export a list.

3. Contact Form

If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, and message you submit so we can reply. Messages are delivered by email to our team. We may apply rate limits and bot protection (including Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled) to reduce spam. Do not send sensitive personal information through the form.

4. Analytics

In production, we use privacy-focused analytics to understand how the site is used and improve the product. This may include Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity, which collect usage data such as pages visited, device type, and interactions. Analytics scripts load only on the production site and do not receive the names on your wheel.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

The spinner itself does not require login cookies. Analytics providers and bot-protection services may set cookies or use similar storage to measure traffic or verify form submissions. You can limit tracking through your browser settings or installed extensions.

6. Data Security

Wheel data security depends on your device and browser. Contact messages are transmitted over HTTPS. We recommend keeping your browser updated and using strong device security.

7. Children's Privacy

Name Spinner does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children through the wheel. The contact form should only be used by adults or with guardian permission. Classroom use should follow your school's policies for student names and photos.
